In today’s age of digital marketing, is there a way Startup can leverage to plan and track offline marketing events. For example print advertising in the newspaper, magazines, participation in seminars and exhibitions etc. These events have a direct impact on the visit to website and resulting in more brand aware or/and eCommerce transaction.

  • First and foremost important step is to design a landing page, make the content very presentable. Now a days normally there is a single page landing designs with the details of the programme, a video teaser, a registration form and contact of the organizers.

It was not one of the best days, things didn’t worked as they should have. I reached back to my apartment at 5:00 PM, 4-5 hours earlier than expected and realised I didn’t have house keys. The planned meet at Nagpur got cancelled on last-minute. After reaching back, tried to call my wife but the phone was repeatedly unreachable. Perhaps she has gone for shopping with Kids or may be for a movies show, kids have insisted this for a long time. Then I looked sheepishly here and there, finally decided to browse some magazines at club house lobby.

As soon as I reached reception, Panchu, the club house security guard greeted with a smile. I reciprocated with same gesture and moved towards the sofa as I heard Panchu asking “Sir, you do not have the house keys, madam left the building with kids almost 2 hours back”. I looked at him and thought, it seems he know too much information on my personal front. So I casually smiled back, but looks like Panchu was in mood for more. How to identify what your webvisitors want using google analyics

One of the bigger challenge for the startup marketing role is to identify website or blog visitors are looking for. While one the easiest way to ask for email signup in website and then sending message to random visitors for a time of discussion but here the sample size can’t be very big. Google provides some very simple straight forward way to identify what a web visitor to your website may be looking for. Using these tricks will take no more than 3 minutes if you are already registered for google analytics

  • Average time spent on a page: This a really good metric, logic is simple if someone like something they will spend more time with it. This gives a really good idea of what topics or products are really getting traction. . For example if the career page is getting more hits than the service portfolio it is clear indicator website is being accessed more by job seekers as compared to the potential customer, thus an appropriate digital marketing strategy should be planned for.
